1) When McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez to win the lightweight title at UFC 205 in 2016, he was the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes concurrently. He was also the current featherweight champion.
2) When he defeated Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in December 2015 to win the featherweight championship, McGregor set a record for the fastest knockout in UFC title fight history.
3) In 2017, McGregor made his boxing debut in anticipation of a much-awaited matchup with the legendary undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. Even though McGregor was defeated by TKO in the match, his foray into boxing attracted a lot of attention and brought in a lot of money.
